This week, the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) launched its Rural Shop Report.
Rural shops have always been a lifeline for local communities but have become even more important during the pandemic:
- The 85 such shops in North Norfolk provide local jobs for 823 people
- Convenience stores in the East of England have invested over £50m in the local economy over the last year
- Across the UK, local shops are delivering to 600,000 homes each week
Duncan recorded the short video (above) to thank all those who work in this sector for everything they have done during the pandemic.
