My name is Duncan Baker, and I was elected MP for North Norfolk in December 2019 - the first time a Conservative has won this seat for eighteen years.
I am 'North Norfolk' through and through: I was born here, educated here, live here, and work here. For the past ten years, I have been working hard in local politics and the wider community. I understand local issues and am able to speak with an authentic voice about what matters to people who live and work here. I was both a town and district councillor in Holt. I have a background in business, working for a well-known and respected local company. With a fantastic skills base behind me (Chartered Accountancy) I have real-world experience learned outside the world of politics.
Family life is very important to me. I have been married to my wife Nina for over ten years - who is also a Chartered Accountant and works locally. We have two daughters, Isabelle and Eleanor. When we're not working, family time is important, but I also enjoy tennis, golf, and walks around our beautiful North Norfolk countryside.
